Real-time Traffic Data
??? question What is Real-time Traffic Data (AVG)? Real-time traffic data is a collective term for intensity, speed, and travel time data. It provides an overview of traffic at a fixed location on the road. NDW supplies data every minute from thousands of measuring locations across the Netherlands. The key data points are:
- Traffic intensity: The number of vehicles passing a measuring point.
- Speed: The average speed of vehicles passing a measuring point.
- Realized or estimated travel time.
This data is largely categorized by vehicle length and, where possible, is available at the lane level. More information can be found on [Traffic Data Products](../producten/index.md#producten-verkeersgegevens).
??? question What are the quality requirements for the data?
NDW conducts multiple quality checks and verifies whether suppliers meet the agreed quality standards. For more information, click here.
