How is the data for bridge openings collected?

Data is collected in various ways, including: Lora sensors (MobilitySensing, SkyLab) and ODS. Planned bridge openings are provided by BMS to BGV and subsequently forwarded to NDW.

Is historical data for bridge openings available?

Yes, historical bridge openings are available in Dexter.

What are the quality requirements for the data?

Quality agreements are included in the SLA between BGV and the chain partners. For details, you can contact the NDW Servicedesk.

How can I receive bridge openings?

This can be done via data services from NCIS or via NDW open data.

How can I connect to the NCIS data stream?

For connection to the BGV platform, this is done in consultation with the supplier. NDW has its own systems.

How do I get an account on NCIS?

This can be requested via the NDW Servicedesk.

Is a data standard used?

Bridge openings are provided to NDW in DATEXII format and delivered to users.

How do I interpret the data?

A signal that the bridge is open means that the respective bridge is unavailable for road traffic.

How are geographic locations represented?

Information is provided for a bridge, identified by an ISRS code or a VILD code. The location of an object can be requested via a data service on FIS using the ISRS code. The locations are recorded according to WGS84.
